We're sponsoring Cards for Men

This fortnight Donna's Den of Crafts is sponsoring the challenge over at Cards for Men.  As that is my challenge blog, I've made this card along with the other members of the Design Team.

The theme of the challenge is 'Monochrome'.  I made my card as a Wedding Anniversary card for my husband as today is our 13th year married.  I have to say it seems like only yesterday.

I used an image from a Craft UK decoupage sheet.  These die-cut sheets are really great as you can get three cards out of them.  The Black card and Mirror Card are also available from the shop.

I went to the Craft Show at Aintree on Saturday and bought a punching system which is what I've used to do the border.  The sticker is from DCWV Alphabet range.

The prize up for grabs is a £10 gift voucher to spend over at Donna's Den of Crafts.  Also for the next fortnight we have a 10% discount available.  Just enter the code CFM0410 at the checkout.

Take a look over at Cards for Men to get some inspiration and please have a go at the challenge.

Cards for Men Challenge - No. 8

Please accept my apologies for the very poor photograph this time.  I will try to get a better one today in daylight and post that as well.  The challenge over at Cards for Men is 'Fancy Folds' by which we mean 'anything other than a basic bi-fold card'.

I chose to try a Step card and used my own measurements to make a 5"x7" card.  You might just be able to see that my Spaceman Tommy is on an acetate 'arm' so that he can zoom across the sky.  This card was very much a learning curve for me and may have another go at it in the future to get a better finish.  Anyway I hope you like it and will pop over to Cards for Men to enter the challenge.

Promised a daylight picture.  here you can see Tommy flying through space.  Please go on over and look at the other DT cards on Cards for Men.

Donna's Den of Crafts is sponsoring Crafty Cardmakers

Woohoo!!  We're sponsoring my good friend Vix's challenge blog today.  This is a great blog because it really caters for all levels of experience in cardmaking.  The theme for the challenge this fortnight is 'A Challenging Challenge' and they're looking for you to really try something you've never done before, whether it's a new technique or card fold or whatever you like.

Choosing a prize to suit this theme was quite hard so I chose something that I  have personally never used.  Unlike my friend Vix, who loves inks and sprays, I have never experimented with them.  So there we are the prize is an Autumn Ink and a Summer Ink together with some Fabric Stickers.  Take a look at them over in my shop and please have a try at the challenge over on Crafty Cardmakers.
