My Mum's Birthday Card

I said I would post this earlier and now that all the kids are in bed, I've finally got the time.  My Mum's birthday was last September so this is not a new card, by any means.  I just forgot to post it until now.

This was a really difficult card to photograph because the peel-offs dazzled the flash so I scanned it in on the printer.  Hopefully, you can see the effect you get with the combinatin of the image and it's matching peel-off.  In real-life it gives a 3-D effect.  The sheet I used here was Strawberry which has a matching gold peel-off.

The Dragonfly and Butterfly Brads are from Dovecraft and are also available in our shop.  They're very glittery.

Cards for Men Challenge - No. 2

The new challenge starts today over on Cards for Men. The theme for this month is 'New' and this is my DT Card.  Using the theme of 'New Baby' and given that I know for definite that my niece is due to have another baby boy in about a month, I made this card.

The sentiment was printed from the computer and mounted on cardstock taken from DCWV Nana's Baby Boy.  The Blue Hearts are Dovecraft 3D Stickers and the Crown is from a pack of Dovecraft Chipboard Stickers.  The base card is out of a mixed selection of cards/envelopes from DCWV.

I hope you like it and will have a go in our challenge this month.  The prize is a Crafter's Companion CD Rom - Male Occupations which you can find in our shop.
